Hillary Clinton is at it again with another tone-deaf social media post. The failed presidential candidate took to X this week to mock Republicans as “whiny crybabies” for being concerned about crime in Washington DC and New York City. She claimed that schoolchildren navigate these streets and subway systems “without incident” every day.
This is rich coming from someone who travels everywhere with armed Secret Service protection. Clinton has never had to worry about walking alone through crime-ridden subway stations or dangerous city streets. She lives in a bubble of wealth and security that ordinary Americans can only dream of.
The former First Lady was clearly targeting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and other Trump officials. Hegseth has been working hard to restore the Pentagon to actual warfighters instead of woke social justice warriors. Clinton apparently thinks this makes him weak somehow.
What Clinton doesn’t understand is that real Americans are fed up with rising crime rates. Parents shouldn’t have to fear for their children’s safety on public transportation. Working families deserve safe streets and functioning cities.
Her husband Bill Clinton used to understand this basic truth about law and order. He actually supported tough-on-crime policies back in the 1990s when it was politically useful. Now Hillary seems to think crime concerns are just Republican talking points.
The Gutfeld show panelists were right to call out this ridiculous post. Tyrus and the gang understand what many Americans know. Clinton is completely out of touch with the real struggles facing everyday families.
This is exactly why Hillary lost in 2016 and why Democrats keep losing ground with working-class voters. They mock legitimate safety concerns while living behind their own walls and security details. The hypocrisy is stunning.
American families deserve leaders who take crime seriously, not politicians who dismiss their fears from their ivory towers. Hillary Clinton proved once again why she’s completely disconnected from the people she claims to represent.
