The liberal hosts on The View recently got a much-needed reality check from intellectual powerhouse Coleman Hughes. The man’s got brains for days, and his recent appearance on the show was a masterclass in crushing leftist dogma with facts, reason, and some good old-fashioned common sense. Hughes was there to discuss his new book, ‘The End of Race Politics: Arguments for a Colorblind America,’ which takes aim at the divisive, race-obsessed ideology that has been poisoning our national discourse.
The co-hosts did their best (well, maybe not their best), to push back against his well-reasoned arguments, but they fell flat on their faces in the process. Whoopi Goldberg managed to keep her cool, but it was clear she was grasping at straws when she tried to dismiss Hughes as too young and ignorant to understand racism. Sunny Hostin, on the other hand, went on the attack with baseless personal attacks and feeble attempts at discrediting Hughes. It was like watching a kitten try to take on a lion. The man’s intellect left her in the dust.

But let’s take a moment to appreciate how Hughes effortlessly dismantled their flimsy arguments and emerged victorious, earning applause from the audience and leaving the hosts looking like the talking heads they truly are. Hughes stands on the shoulders of Martin Luther King Jr., advocating for a colorblind society, and it’s a shame that so-called progressives have strayed from King’s powerful message of character over skin color. Instead, they’ve embraced race essentialism and even forms of racial discrimination, perpetuating the very divisiveness they claim to fight against.
Hughes’ critics, and there are many, often resort to strawman arguments and low blows to try and discredit him. But Hughes is no pushover. He deftly dismantles their weak attacks and exposes their empty rhetoric for what it is – a desperate attempt to silence a voice of reason. Despite these challenges, Hughes remains resolute in his mission to dismantle the divisive ideology that has infected our culture.
And if you think his appearance on The View was the only time he’s ruffled feathers, think again. Last year, his TED Talk was suppressed after internal turmoil at the organization. He defended colorblindness, the idea of treating people without regard to race, and was met with opposition from a group within TED. He agreed to speak with them, only to have the offer rescinded, and then faced public denouncement at a TED event. The left’s attempts to silence him are as pitiful as they are predictable.
At the end of the day, Hughes stands as a principled advocate for a colorblind America, facing down the left’s attempts to silence him with intelligence, grace, and a healthy dose of snark. And if you want to learn more about his ideas, check out his book. It’s a breath of fresh air in a room full of stale leftist dogma.
