Kirk was hosting his famous “Prove Me Wrong” event when a coward hiding on a rooftop took his life with a single shot. The brave conservative was speaking to students about American values when the shooter struck from a distance like the gutless terrorist he is. This is exactly the kind of political violence the radical left has been encouraging for years with their dangerous rhetoric.
Utah Governor Spencer Cox got it exactly right when he called this what it is – a political assassination. For too long, conservatives have been under attack on college campuses across America. Now the left has crossed the line from throwing eggs and pulling fire alarms to actual murder.
President Trump honored Charlie with a beautiful tribute on Truth Social, calling him “Great, and even Legendary.” Trump knew what millions of young Americans knew – Charlie Kirk was a warrior for freedom who understood the heart of patriotic youth better than anyone. The FBI and local police are still hunting for this domestic terrorist who remains on the loose. Two people were arrested but released because they had nothing to do with this evil act. Every American should be demanding answers about how campus security failed so badly.
