Corporate Media Pushes Hard to Refurbish Kamala Harris’s Unpopular Image

Corporate media has thrown itself into the task of polishing Kamala Harris’s lackluster image, working tirelessly to present her as a viable option for the presidency. Despite her history of poor performance during the 2020 election and her tenure as Vice President, media outlets seem determined to turn the unpopular candidate into the darling of the Democratic Party. A recent analysis by the Media Research Center reveals the extraordinary lengths to which the media is going to sanitize her reputation.

Harris has been granted an alarming 66% more airtime than former President Donald Trump, which raises eyebrows given her longstanding unpopularity. While Trump’s coverage remains overwhelmingly negative (89% hostile), the media is in a frenzy to paint Harris in a positive light. In fact, a staggering 84% of her coverage is favorable, showcasing not just bias but a concerted effort to reshape public perception about the Vice President.

The media’s spinning of the narrative is particularly one-sided. While one would expect a figure with Harris’s history to be scrutinized heavily, ongoing controversies, including her radical leftist views, have been virtually wiped from the airwaves. Instead, the press promotes Harris as the poster child of momentum, neglecting to investigate the realities of her campaign and the disarray within the Democratic Party, such as Biden’s infighting and the shadow of Harris’s ineffectiveness.

The figures from July 21 to August 17 paint a clear picture: a whopping 192 positive statements about Harris’s campaign have been broadcast, while only a meager 12 negative remarks have been made. In stark contrast, Trump has received a mere 21 positive statements, juxtaposed with 28 negative ones. This blatant discrepancy sheds light on the media’s obsession with Harris, as it engages in a relentless push to convince the American people that she is a serious contender.

What can be noted, however, is that while the media can pump out as much favorable coverage as it wishes, it can’t create genuine momentum out of thin air. There’s an inevitable “Disney dip” looming on the horizon, where the initial excitement surrounding Harris’s campaign will plummet upon the realization that much of the media’s enthusiasm is as hollow as her record. The electorate is savvy enough to recognize when they are being sold a lemon. Amidst rising bills and dissatisfaction with leadership, many will connect the dots back to Harris’s policies.

Despite the media’s attempts to manufacture support, Harris’s campaign is teetering on the brink of collapse. The real challenge lies in maintaining this facade once the initial gloss begins to fade. The conservative audience watches as this charade unfolds, fully aware that the truth, however obscured by cheerful headlines, will eventually emerge from under the heavy paint job the media has tried to apply.
