At a summer camp nestled among the trees, fun and laughter are usually the order of the day. But recently, the camp experience took a wild turn when an unexpected flood swept through several cabins, creating chaos and a scramble for safety. Campers were tossed into a whirlwind of activity that reminded everyone that nature can be unpredictable, and sometimes a little humor can go a long way in tough situations.
It all started when a camper rushed in with alarming news: “Hey, our cabin’s flooding!” Panic quickly spread among the ranks as counselors and campers alike scrambled to assess the situation. In an instant, the carefree atmosphere transformed into one of concern. Many girls found themselves displaced, forced to share beds, sleep on trunks, or even find a comfy spot on the floor, hoping for a restful night despite the chaos surrounding them.
The following morning brought an eerie calm to the camp. Campers cautiously returned to the scene of the flooding, with the older girls leading the charge to check on their belongings and see what survived the night. Among the muddy remnants and soaked belongings, the image of one girl carrying her Bible caught everyone’s eye. The sight of her clinging to her cherished book was heartwarming, a clear reminder that sometimes, it’s the little things that mean the most.
