Court Sides with Trump: $20B Climate Grants Axed

The appeals court just handed President Trump a massive victory in his fight against Biden’s wasteful climate spending. A three-judge panel ruled that Trump’s EPA can cancel $20 billion in so-called “climate grants” that Biden handed out to his environmental friends. This is exactly the kind of common sense decision American taxpayers have been waiting for.

The court overturned a lower judge who tried to force the EPA to keep paying out this money. The ruling means environmental groups can’t get their grants back and can only sue for damages later. Trump’s EPA terminated these agreements in March because they don’t match America’s real priorities under the new administration.

These $20 billion grants came from Biden’s massive Inflation Reduction Act spending spree. Biden created something called the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund and handed the money to eight left-wing organizations last April. The whole program was designed to fund tens of thousands of projects pushing the green energy agenda on hardworking Americans.

President Trump promised voters he would “drill, baby drill” and stop the climate change nonsense. Since taking office in January, he’s been keeping that promise by undoing Biden’s anti-American environmental policies. This court victory shows Trump is serious about putting America’s energy independence first instead of wasting money on wind turbines and solar panels.

The truth is this was nothing more than taxpayer-funded political activism. These environmental groups get rich off government grants while pushing policies that hurt American workers and families. No wonder they have so much power and influence when they’re getting billion-dollar checks from Washington bureaucrats.

This money was supposed to go toward home energy projects and air pollution programs in low-income communities. But really it was just another way to force expensive green energy on people who can’t afford it. Americans are tired of paying for programs that make their energy bills higher while enriching environmental consultants.

The environmental groups are throwing a fit because their gravy train just got derailed. Climate United’s CEO said she was “disappointed” and promised to keep fighting for “clean energy.” These activists always claim they’re helping communities when they’re really just helping themselves to taxpayer dollars.

This ruling kills years of climate activism funded by American taxpayers. When the government money dries up, so will a lot of these environmental groups and their fake campaigns. Trump’s EPA can now redirect this money toward real priorities that actually help American families instead of left-wing causes.
