Contrary to the whining from the Democrat camp, who are quick to cry “authoritarianism” whenever Trump acts decisively, the legal battlefield confirms his actions are within bounds. The judges acknowledged that because D.C. is a federal district, Trump holds a unique role in ensuring its security. For the uninformed leftists who endlessly rattle about democracy, reminding them that D.C. is not a state but a federal district might be enlightening. Guess they need a quick reminder that the Constitution still matters.

Even more revealing are the actions of D.C.’s own Democratic Mayor, Muriel Bowser. Criticizing on the surface but secretly relieved, she witnessed firsthand how the National Guard brought calm to a city plagued by crime. Imagine that! A Democrat acknowledging that Trump’s hardline stance against crime actually works. For the first time, the city witnessed two weeks without a single murder. The silence from the anti-Trump media is deafening.
As usual, the liberal response was to label this a “dangerous overreach.” Isn’t it funny how doing whatever it takes to protect American citizens is seen as overreach by the same people who advocate for defunding the police? It’s about time they take a hard look at their priorities. When their ideals clash with reality, it’s the people who suffer. Ignoring crime to fit a narrative is nothing short of insanity.
Americans need leaders with guts. Trump’s approach may not fit the soft, globally appeasing liberal mold, but it prioritizes safety and sovereignty. If a president can’t protect the nation’s capital, what hope do other cities have? But maybe that’s the plan all along. Are we willing to trade safety for empty liberal promises?
