According to court filings, his lawyers are saying President Trump’s landmark pardons for January 6 patriots cover everything—including this alleged crime. Liberals are already clutching their pearls over the idea, but let’s actually take a look at the insanity of how the justice system targets anyone linked to January 6 while glossing over real criminals burning cities to the ground.
This isn’t some wild conspiracy theory. After Trump’s second term kicked off, he gave full, unconditional pardons to folks charged with crimes connected to January 6. It wasn’t just talk, either. Verifiable records show the pardon wiped charges for plenty of folks, even some the government hilariously called “the most violent.” Now, the pipe bomber’s attorneys argue the plain language of Trump’s proclamation applies to all January 6 charges—including this. Meanwhile, the left screams about “our democracy,” yet they’re willing to bend every rule if it serves their agenda.

But that doesn’t stop federal authorities from using every tool of the surveillance state—tens of thousands of video files, phone tracking, and license plate readers—to hunt one man like he’s Public Enemy Number One. This shows just how obsessed the Democrats are with turning every January 6 case into the “crime of the century.” But when actual criminals threaten your family or torch businesses? Crickets.
The defense team isn’t just grabbing at straws, either. They name other cases where Trump’s pardon commuted sentences for January 6 defendants, even when those people were accused of much more serious crimes. One guy, who was called a “violent” actor, still got his slate wiped clean thanks to the Trump pardon. It’s a clear pattern—if their actions were linked to January 6 at or near the Capitol, they go free. Funny, isn’t it, how the left called Trump’s pardons outrageous at the time but now want to pretend there’s some magical exception when it might actually undermine one of their favorite narratives?
Isn’t it rich that while global elites and liberal bureaucrats wring their hands over “domestic terrorism,” they won’t even apply their own rules fairly? If Trump’s pardons apply, then the justice system needs to follow through, period. Or are we saying now that law only matters when it fits the Democrat playbook? Maybe it’s time Americans started asking who the real danger to democracy is—the people peacefully protesting for their rights, or the radical leftists trying to twist the law into a weapon?
