Mamdani calls himself a democratic socialist and proud member of the Democratic Socialists of America. He beat establishment favorite Andrew Cuomo in the Democratic primary this past June in a shocking upset. Now this far-left extremist is leading the polls for NYC mayor with over 40 percent support heading into the November election.
His socialist wish list would bankrupt the city and drive out every business owner. Mamdani wants free city buses, rent freezes, government-run grocery stores, and a crushing $30 minimum wage by 2030. He plans to build 200,000 new housing units using taxpayer money while expanding welfare programs like universal childcare.
The radical lawmaker wants to raise taxes by $10 billion on job creators and successful Americans. He thinks punishing businesses and entrepreneurs will somehow make life better for working families. This is the same failed thinking that has destroyed every socialist country in history.
Even worse, Mamdani hates our ally Israel and supports Palestinian terrorists. He actually promised to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he visits New York City. This America-hating politician went on a 15-day hunger strike to help taxi drivers and thinks that makes him a hero.
De Blasio telling conservatives that this socialist playbook could work nationwide shows how out of touch Democrats really are. Americans just voted against this exact type of big government madness in the presidential election. Working families want lower taxes and safer streets, not more welfare and higher costs.
Mamdani won his primary by fooling young voters with social media tricks and false promises of free stuff. His campaign organized scavenger hunts and viral videos while hiding his plan to turn NYC into Venezuela. The mainstream media loves him because he represents everything they want for America.
If Republicans don’t wake up and fight back against this socialist takeover of our cities, we will lose our country. New York voters have a chance to stop this madness in November by rejecting Mamdani and his dangerous agenda. The choice is clear: freedom or socialism.
