For over forty years, Iran has waged a relentless campaign of terror against Americans. This hostile regime has repeatedly targeted innocent U.S. citizens through kidnappings, bombings, and assassinations. Their actions have caused immense suffering and loss of American lives. The Islamic Republic’s hatred for America has never wavered.
Back in 1979, radical Iranian students stormed the U.S. Embassy in Tehran. They took 52 Americans hostage for 444 agonizing days. Our people endured torture and mock executions while the world watched helplessly. This cowardly act showed Iran’s true nature as an enemy of freedom. President Carter’s weakness only emboldened these terrorists.
In the 1980s, Iran was rightly labeled a state sponsor of terrorism. Their proxies murdered hundreds of Americans in bombings across Lebanon and beyond. They attacked our embassies and military bases without mercy. Iran’s leaders openly celebrated these brutal killings. Their bloodlust against Americans became impossible to ignore.
The USS Vincennes tragedy in 1988 revealed Iran’s dangerous aggression. After Iran mined international waters, our brave Navy responded decisively. In the heat of battle, an Iranian civilian plane was accidentally shot down. While we mourned this loss, Iran continued attacking ships and threatening global trade. Their recklessness forced America to defend freedom of navigation.
Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, Iran kept targeting Americans. They funded terrorist groups like Hezbollah that killed our soldiers in Iraq. Their operatives plotted attacks on U.S. soil too. Iran never stopped trying to harm our citizens at home and abroad. Their evil intentions remained clear decade after decade.
Just three years ago, Iran-backed militias attacked our embassy in Baghdad. Then President Trump took bold action by eliminating terrorist mastermind Qasem Soleimani. This butcher had American blood on his hands from years of atrocities. His death made the world safer. Iran’s threats only prove why we must stay strong against them.
Today Iran still arms terrorists across the Middle East. They fund groups that attack Israeli civilians and kill American allies. Their nuclear ambitions threaten the entire free world. Weak deals like Obama’s failed pact only made Iran richer and more dangerous. We cannot trust these fanatical rulers.
America must stand firm against Iran’s decades of terror. We need strong leaders who put our safety first. Patriots understand that Iran only respects strength and resolve. Our brave military stands ready to protect Americans from this endless threat. We will never bow to tyranny.
