In a shocking twist of the usual left-wing narrative, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, a true-blue Democrat, grudgingly admitted that under President Trump’s leadership, illegal border crossings have considerably dropped. Hats off to him for repeating what conservatives have known all along—securing the border works. But let’s not kid ourselves. Pritzker’s reluctant tip of the hat to Trump on national television reeks of political maneuvering, not genuine acknowledgment.
Before Trump turned things around, Pritzker was desperately begging his Democratic counterparts for help with the border crisis, which has plagued Chicago. He whined about thousands of migrants being sent to the city from Texas, as if the problem was Texas’s responsibility. Meanwhile, the federal government sat idly by, proving once again that liberal policies and inaction go hand-in-hand.

Bret Baier threw Pritzker a curveball by asking him to name Trump’s greatest accomplishment. Pritzker gave the man his due on handling border issues, but quickly circled back to chide conservatives for not pushing sweeping immigration reform. Classic liberal move—never miss a chance to criticize after acknowledging success.
Pritzker dares to suggest that instead of focusing on enforcement, Trump should have enacted comprehensive immigration laws. He forgets that Democrats have been blocking every opportunity to fix our immigration system. They prefer to cling to their unrealistic open-border ideals while cities like Chicago suffer. Here lies the irony. Democrats have wasted decades avoiding real action, and now they have the nerve to criticize those who actually took steps to secure our nation.
In Pritzker’s fantasy world, Washington should unite on immigration reform. It’s a nice thought, but let’s be real—liberal leadership has completely failed to respect national sovereignty. Chicago is buckling under the weight of a federal failure, and all Pritzker can offer are empty calls for bipartisan harmony. Sure, conservatives are all for reform, but let’s cut the fairy tales—America needs to prioritize border security and the rule of law first.
As the city’s struggles continue, Pritzker’s complaints highlight a hard truth: Democrats have failed to protect America. And it took a Republican President to show what real progress looks like. While Pritzker’s half-hearted compliments won’t erase liberal incompetence, they stand as a testament to what Trump has achieved despite relentless opposition. Will the left ever stop pointing fingers and start solving problems?
