Staff ReportsThe liberal establishment must be having a meltdown over the latest spectacle involving Rep. LaMonica McIver. Here we have a Democrat — a sitting Congresswoman, mind you — facing felony charges for allegedly assaulting a police officer during an anti-ICE protest. Yet, instead of accepting the alleged behavior as unacceptable, the left chooses to whine and complain that McIver is being treated ‘unfairly.’ The hypocrisy is staggering.
During one of their endless CNN discussions, Democrats and their media cohorts were quick to leap to McIver’s defense, suggesting the charges were somehow extreme. Well, newsflash: if any regular citizen went around elbowing and punching an officer, they’d be arraigned in record time. This isn’t rocket science; it’s common sense. But common sense is something the left appears to have misplaced long ago, preferring to rewrite the rules whenever it suits their agenda.
For the past two years, Democrats have droned on about how ‘no one is above the law.’ They screamed it from the rooftops while trying to nail President Trump on anything they could think of. Suddenly, however, when one of their own is caught on camera engaging in an alleged violent act, the tune changes altogether. How convenient! It’s laughable how quickly those sanctimonious chants vanish when the finger points back at their camp.

It’s hard to imagine McIver facing any real consequences here. In America’s two-tiered justice system, the liberal elite typically escape unscathed, leaving ordinary Americans to wonder why they’re held to a different standard. This fiasco exposes the fraudulence of the Democrat’s so-called “justice”—it’s a smokescreen designed to control the narrative and shield their own.
So does McIver actually face years behind bars for her alleged actions? Unlikely. Democrats are likely too busy plotting their next charade to exert justice within their own ranks. Meanwhile, conservatives watch incredulously, aware that the justice system seems stacked in favor of the powerful. When will the left stop talking out of both sides of their mouth? Or have they forgotten what accountability even looks like?
