Democrat Phillips Teases 2024 Presidential Run: Is America Ready?

In a recent interview on CBS’ Face the Nation, Minnesota Rep. Dean Phillips expressed his belief that he is well positioned to become President of the United States. However, he stated that he has not yet made a decision on whether he will challenge President Joe Biden for the Democratic nomination in 2024. Phillips called on other members of the Democratic party who are in a better position to run against Biden to join the race, stating that “that is what the country is asking.”

As a conservative Republican, it’s entertaining to see the disarray within the Democratic party. Even Democratic voters themselves seem to be divided, with a recent New York Times/Siena College poll showing that 64% of Democratic voters would prefer someone other than Biden. It’s clear that there is a lack of enthusiasm for Biden’s leadership among his own party.

Phillips also expressed skepticism about some of the other candidates potentially running against Biden, such as Marianne Williamson and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. He even questioned whether they should be considered Democrats at all. It’s amusing to watch Democrats struggle to find a united front, as they entertain the possibility of third-party tickets and alternative candidates.

As a conservative Republican news writer, it’s clear to me that the Democratic party is in disarray. Biden’s lackluster leadership has left his own party searching for alternatives. With Phillips calling on other Democrats to join the race, it’s clear that there is no confidence in Biden’s ability to lead the country. The Democratic party needs a strong and united candidate to have any chance against the Republican nominee in 2024, but it remains to be seen whether they can find one.
