Democrats have unveiled their 2026 campaign playbook, and it’s as predictable as it is dishonest: weaponize tragedy, smear Trump, and blame him for the “chaos” in American cities. The latest crisis? The unfortunate death of a progressive street protestor in Minneapolis during an ICE operation. Instead of focusing on facts or law enforcement’s role in protecting communities, the Democrats jump on their favorite victimhood bandwagon, claiming Trump’s border and immigration enforcement is the source of all instability. It’s a cynical stunt.
Minnesota’s radical left-wing leaders are playing the blame game hard. Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, both Democrats, are telling fairy tales about federal agents “sowing chaos” by doing their jobs. They’re more concerned about protecting illegal migrant communities loyal to them politically than standing up for law-abiding citizens who want safe streets. Frey’s recent re-election hinged on pandering to Somali migrant voters, despite overwhelming evidence of fraud and theft committed by those same communities—yet he dares to condemn ICE’s efforts to uphold the law. Protecting criminals is apparently the priority, not protecting the innocent.

This is vintage Democrat hypocrisy at work. For years, progressive pols and their media pals have blamed law enforcement for every problem in minority neighborhoods while excusing violent crime and lawlessness in the name of “social justice.” The same people who championed the false “Hands up, don’t shoot” narrative in 2014 and fanned the flames of 2020’s horrifying riots have now perfected the “Trump = chaos” campaign. But here’s the truth none of them want you to hear: America’s crime rates didn’t skyrocket under Trump’s America—they plummeted. And much of that success came from Trump’s firm stance on immigration. Removing dangerous illegal migrants and restoring law and order wasn’t chaos—it was restoration.
Biden’s open-door immigration policies, combined with Democrat obstructionism, created the real mayhem. Their reckless importation of millions of migrants—both legal and illegal—has driven up rents, pushed families out of jobs, and soaked communities in a chaotic brew of crime and discontent. Meanwhile, Trump’s efforts to deport offenders and secure the border helped stabilize housing markets and lower crime nationwide, proving that strength equals security, not anarchy. The Democrats pretend to want “peace and order,” but their policies deliver the opposite: decades of deterioration, fuel for their endless campaigns of victimhood, and power plays with immigrant vote banks.
What’s more galling is how Democrat leaders—from Chuck Schumer to Gavin Newsom—keep doubling down on this narrative, even calling for ICE to leave cities that desperately need a crime crackdown. Their fixation on “chaos” is a distraction from their failure to govern and protect. It also shields their radical allies—Antifa agitators, fraudsters, and lawbreakers—from accountability. No surprise that the media parrots these lies while ignoring the actual data showing historic drops in crime under conservative policies.
Americans deserve leaders who value their safety over political scoring. Do Democrat leaders really think voters will buy that locking the front door while throwing out the key is “chaos”? Or that allowing criminals, fraudsters, and lawless migrants to roam free makes America stronger? This is the same tired nonsense they’ve spun since Obama’s time—and it’s about time folks call it out for what it is: a cynical, deceptive ploy to cling to power by selling fear and division. Real chaos is the Democrats’ brand of rule. If you want peace, prosperity, and law and order, you know which side stands for that.
