Democrats once again tried to undermine President Trump, but they failed—big time. Their latest stunt in the House was nothing but another desperate attempt to handcuff our Commander-in-Chief right when America faces real threats abroad. Instead of focusing on keeping our nation strong and safe, the left wants to tie Trump’s hands just so they can feel important. They don’t care about American strength. They care about scoring cheap political points, no matter the risk.
Rep. Glenn Ivey and his Democrat allies thought they could sneak through a war powers resolution blocking Trump from acting against Iran without Congress’s blessing. This, right after a ceasefire was finally holding—a fragile peace, thanks in large part to Trump’s bold leadership. Rather than showing unity and resolve, Democrats try to embarrass the President on the world stage and telegraph weakness to our enemies. If Iran, or any other hostile regime, sees that the House is busy fighting its own President, it sends only one message: America is divided and soft.

Let’s be honest—liberals never trusted Trump to lead, but they’re more interested in appeasing their globalist donors than respecting the office. Whenever the President stands up for this country, the left tries to slap him down. They want endless hearings, endless investigations, and endless restrictions, even if it means paralyzing the only person capable of making fast, tough decisions in a dangerous world.
Thankfully, House Republicans stood firm and stopped this nonsense in its tracks. They know what matters: a strong military, a strong President, and a nation that doesn’t back down to bullies. Trump has proven time and again he won’t let Iran—or anyone else—push America around. That terrifies the left, because they’ve gotten comfortable with weakness after years of failed Obama-Biden appeasement.
This isn’t about war or peace; this is about power. Democrats want to weaken Trump, even if it weakens the country. Their games put all Americans at risk just to please the anti-American fringe of their party. At the end of the day, Americans need leaders who act, not politicians who whine. Maybe the left should try putting America first for a change. But then again, when has that ever been their top priority?
