The so-called “Schumer Shutdown” has once again unveiled the Democratic Party’s true agenda: using the American people as pawns in their power-hungry schemes. For well over a dozen times, Democrats thumbed their noses at the plain and simple proposal on the table—passing a clean Continuing Resolution (CR) to get government workers their paychecks again. But no, instead they play politics with people’s livelihoods, all to stick it to President Trump.
In an embarrassing display of fumbling, Rep. Janelle Bynum couldn’t even come up with a decent answer when confronted about her vote against this straightforward proposal. If there were any “poison pills” in that clean CR, she sure didn’t seem to know about them. Her failure to articulate her stance just highlights the Democrats’ reliance on empty rhetoric instead of hard facts.

Democrats are fighting for their pet projects—outlandish spending on healthcare for illegals, or climate change initiatives that reach into foreign lands. This isn’t about helping Americans; it’s about pushing a radical agenda at the expense of the very people they swear to represent. What they fail to grasp, or simply choose to ignore, is that the Republicans aren’t the roadblock here. It’s the Democrats who are holding the nation hostage, demanding outrageous concessions—or else!
Even the mainstream media, typically complicit in Democratic charades, seems fed up with their antics this time around. When a representative can’t even answer basic questions about her decisions, it should send alarm bells to every American. The Democrats, despite being the minority in Congress, arrogantly block the path forward, ignoring who truly put them in the minority in the first place.
What does this show? Democrats would rather play these dangerous games than accept a fair compromise. So here we are again, seeing who they truly serve—not the hardworking Americans—because anytime they’re challenged, they dodge and deflect instead of standing by their so-called principles. Isn’t it time Democrats put America first?
