Democrats are at the bottom of the barrel, and the dumpster fire doesn’t appear to be going out anytime soon. With no capable leaders, no appealing electoral prospects, and absolutely nothing to attract voters, they seem as lost as a ship without a compass. The party’s immediate strategy? Crossing their fingers and hoping that President Donald Trump stumbles in his endeavors, while trying to convince the public that he’s a complete disaster. Spoiler alert: that’s not working.
Recent polling from Harvard CAPS/Harris indicates that Trump’s approval rating currently sits at a robust 52 percent after just a month in office, while Democrats have plummeted to a dismal 36 percent approval—an atrocious figure for a party that’s supposedly in the game. This poll surveyed 2,443 registered voters and the results are not painting a rosy picture for the left. Even more embarrassing for Democrats is that a staggering 58 percent of respondents believe Trump has outperformed former President Joe Biden.
DEAR DEMOCRATS
You really are FUCKED
Not only is Trump destroying your criminal empire…
but the American people overwhelmingly approve of him doing so.

Among some of the president’s most popular initiatives are the deportation of illegal immigrants who have committed crimes, government waste elimination, and border security—policies that a large swath of the population seems to back wholeheartedly. Whether it’s 81 percent supporting the deportation of dangerous criminals, or 76 percent applauding efforts to close the border, it seems that Trump’s policy portfolio is hitting home runs, while Democrats are stuck in the minor leagues.
Meanwhile, Democrats have dedicated their time and energy to maligning figures like Elon Musk, who heads up the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). It’s almost comical to watch their responses as he exposes government waste and fraud, yet public sentiment hasn’t swayed against DOGE’s mission. Around 60 percent believe that DOGE is successfully cutting government spending, and 77 percent feel that those expenses warrant a thorough investigation.
The current approval numbers for Democrats reflect a colossal mess, with their overall approval tanking to the lowest since March 2018. A staggering 86 percent of Republicans, 70 percent of Independents, and even 33 percent of Democrats themselves have voiced their disapproval. Mark Penn, a co-director of the polling group, noted that the public exhibits a wait-and-see attitude toward Trump while simultaneously harshly reassessing their views on Biden and the Democratic Party.
The sad truth for Democrats is that they seem to have pinned their hopes on futile attacks rather than crafting policies that resonate with everyday Americans. Their party has sold its soul to authoritarian elites, who hold an undisguised contempt for the very citizens they claim to represent. This disconnect is leading to a desperate reliance on their media puppets, but with Musk’s platform X shaking things up, their influence over public perception is waning.
Every indication suggests that if Democrats want to make it out of this mess, they’ll need to pivot and actually start advocating for policies the average American can get behind. However, considering their current track record and commitment to elites over constituents, such a transformation seems downright unlikely. For the foreseeable future, Democrats appear set to flounder, while the country edges toward a period of growth and recovery under the leadership of President Trump.
