Once again, the Democrats are playing games with America’s safety. The Senate, pretending to care about the country, managed to pass a so-called plan to fund the Department of Homeland Security. But—surprise, surprise—they decided to leave out the two most important agencies: ICE and Border Patrol. That’s like saying you’ll build a house, but you don’t want to pay for the locks, doors, or windows.
The House, at least, still has some backbone left. When they saw the Senate’s cowardly move, they shot back with a straightforward solution: fund the entire department for two more months. All or nothing. Real security, not some watered-down version that leaves our borders wide open for anyone to stroll in. But liberals don’t care about American families being safe. They only care about appeasing their radical base and donors who want open borders and chaos.

What’s hilarious is the latest White House stunt. President Trump doesn’t take days off, especially when America is in trouble. He’s making it clear: We can have our Easter celebration, but only if Congress decides to do its job and stop the DHS shutdown. This isn’t just about a meal. It’s about showing leadership while the left throws tantrums and holds safety hostage to their petty politics.
Liberals want you to believe ICE and Border Patrol are the villains. In reality, they’re the heroes protecting our streets from drugs, criminals, and gangs pouring in from the southern border. The left’s twisted priorities mean America’s security is always second to their virtue-signaling and globalist buddies. They call for “compromise” but only when it benefits their anti-American agenda. When it comes to actual law and order, suddenly they want to cut corners and risk it all.
It’s time for Congress to get serious. Fund the entire Department of Homeland Security—including ICE and Border Patrol—or get out of the way. Americans aren’t fooled by these cheap tricks and political grandstanding. The question now: Do Democrats care more about photo-ops and scoring points than actually defending this country? Or is that just the new normal for the left?
