The facts on the ground speak louder than the performative outrage from coastal elites: the recent ICE operations in Los Angeles resulted in dozens of detentions and sparked mass protests that interrupted city life. Federal officials have been clear that the operation picked up individuals with serious convictions, underlining that this is law enforcement, not a partisan stunt.
Yet instead of thanking law enforcement for doing the hard work of keeping neighborhoods safe, Democratic leaders chose to posture and shame agents, calling the sweeps “reckless” and accusing the federal government of sowing terror. That predictable reflex exposes the party’s priorities — chest-thumping virtue signaling for activist donors while ordinary citizens watch their streets become less safe.
Conservatives rightly ask a blunt question: are Democrats defending criminals because they fear losing a growing voting bloc if those people are removed? It’s not paranoia to note the political incentives — when a party treats open borders as policy rather than a problem, it betrays a willingness to put votes above victims.
The proper response from any responsible government is to back the men and women who enforce the law and to restore order, not to kneel to mobs that cheer when officers are assaulted. The White House’s decision to deploy federal reinforcements to calm the unrest was the only honest option available to protect citizens, and it should be supported rather than denounced.
Patriots know this fight isn’t about cruelty — it’s about common sense and the sacred duty of government to secure its borders and protect its people. If Democrats insist on romanticizing foreign criminals and politicizing law enforcement, voters will remember who stood for safety and who chose spectacle; America deserves leaders who defend citizens first, not those who reflexively defend the status quo that endangers them.
