Their witnesses described heartbreaking, chaotic scenes in the Twin Cities and demanded immediate restraints on federal operations, turning a complex legal matter into raw political theater.
Conservative Americans should not be surprised that such rhetoric produced predictable consequences: threats, vandalism, and a charged atmosphere where federal officers are being singled out for blame. The White House and administration allies have rightly pushed back, warning that encouraging protests against federal law enforcement crosses a dangerous line and could invite unlawful obstruction.

Filing lawsuits and staging hearings instead of offering constructive cooperation is more about scoring political points than solving real problems — and it sends a message that undermines rule of law.
