Folks, it looks like the Democrats in swing states are finally seeing the light and hopping on the Trump Train when it comes to putting America first! They may not want to admit it, but deep down, they know that protecting American workers and industries from China’s unfair trade practices is the right thing to do.
Now, let’s talk about how these Democrats, who are looking to keep their jobs in 2024, are jumping on the bandwagon of former President Donald Trump’s tough stance on Chinese electric vehicles (EVs). Trump had warned about the dire consequences for America’s auto industry if China flooded our market with cheap EVs, and it seems like some Democrats are finally coming around to his way of thinking.

In Michigan, Reps. Debbie Dingell and Haley Stevens are speaking up in support of slapping tariffs on Chinese-made cars to protect our hardworking American auto workers. They understand that allowing China to undercut our auto industry with their subsidized EVs would be devastating for American jobs.
Even Sen. Sherrod Brown from Ohio, who’s facing a tough reelection battle, is joining the chorus, calling for higher tariffs on Chinese cars. He knows that China’s unfair trade practices have already hurt Ohio’s industries, and he’s not willing to let them do the same to our auto industry.
And it’s not just the Democrats who are coming to their senses. Republicans in Congress are also standing up for American interests. Sen. Josh Hawley and Sen. Marco Rubio have introduced bills to increase tariffs on China-made cars, and Rep. Jim Banks is pushing for an investigation into China’s attempts to evade existing tariffs.
Folks, it’s about time our politicians on both sides of the aisle put partisanship aside and focus on what’s best for the American people. We can’t let China run roughshod over our industries and workers. It’s time to make America great again by standing up to China’s unfair trade practices!
