Washington, D.C., the so-called heart of American freedom, will now be guarded by the National Guard for at least five more years. This isn’t a bad joke or some far-off dystopian nightmare—it’s our new reality under a left-wing regime obsessed with power and control. The swamp’s paranoia knows no bounds, walling itself in while the rest of the country faces open borders and chaos in our communities. The liberals’ answer isn’t secure cities for regular Americans; it’s a permanent military presence where they make the rules.
Why does D.C. need troops patrolling the streets? Are lawmakers so out of touch that they fear their own people? Maybe they should spend more time listening to Americans in flyover country instead of hiding behind barbed wire and Humvees. The elites demand safety and order for themselves while letting working-class families deal with drugs, crime, and open borders. Liberals lecture about “democracy,” but surround themselves with soldiers and lockdowns. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Meanwhile, true leaders still believe in honor and service. President Trump took a moment during his State of the Union to recognize real heroes—U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe and the late U.S. Army Specialist Sarah Beckstrom—with the Purple Heart. These are young Americans, barely out of high school, willing to risk it all for our country. Trump knows what the left will never understand: America’s greatness comes from brave individuals, not from bloated bureaucracies or endless security theater.
There’s a bitter irony here. The left showers D.C. with military protection, yet refuses to defend our southern border. Globalists and their puppets in Congress refuse to protect everyday Americans but are fine with spending our tax dollars to protect themselves. When was the last time the average American in Chicago, Detroit, or the border towns saw this kind of dedication to their safety? The message is clear—liberal elites care more about their own comfort than our country’s safety.
Maybe it’s time these leftists remembered who they work for. Americans don’t want a militarized capital—they want safe neighborhoods and secure borders. Stop turning D.C. into a fortress. Start defending the real America. What will it take for these so-called leaders to put their own people first for once?
