A group of progressive Democrats and military veterans teamed up to demand a ceasefire in Israel, but are they really just asking for trouble? In a press conference outside the Capitol, Progressive Reps. Cori Bush (D-MO), Summer Lee (D-PA), and Delia Ramirez (D-IL) were joined by a group of U.S. veterans to plead with Congress to stop passing legislation they claim will only fuel warfare. These lawmakers, along with 10 other House Democrats, have even introduced a bill demanding the Biden administration call for a ceasefire and provide humanitarian assistance to residents in Gaza. But is this really the best way to handle the situation?
