Dems Rake in Cash, Snub Israel Amid Terror Attacks

Left-wing Democrats continue to rake in big bucks for their primary re-election campaigns, despite their controversial anti-Israel remarks. Democratic Representatives Rashida Tlaib and Jamaal Bowman have faced criticism for repeatedly condemning Israel’s actions during the recent conflict with Hamas. However, that hasn’t stopped them from raising millions in campaign funds, much to the frustration of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).

Since the October 2023 terror attack in which Hamas killed over 1,200 Israelis and took nearly 250 hostages, Tlaib has managed to bring in a whopping $3.7 million, while Bowman raised about $730,000. These record-breaking figures are a slap in the face to AIPAC, who have been actively supporting primary challengers against the two Democrats.

Bowman, in particular, has been vocal about his intention to fight against AIPAC and their influence. He believes that Muslim and Arab groups are banding together to counter AIPAC’s financial and political power. But perhaps Bowman should focus more on condemning the terrorist organization that brutally attacked innocent Israelis rather than engaging in anti-Israel rhetoric.

It’s worth noting that the majority of the funding for these left-wing politicians came from Arab and Muslim voters in their districts, who seem to be aligning themselves with the anti-Israel sentiment. This raises concerns about the influence of foreign interests in American politics and the potential impact on the U.S.-Israel relationship.

AIPAC, on the other hand, has been actively supporting Bowman’s opponent, George Latimer, by donating over $600,000 to his campaign. They argue that standing against Tlaib and Bowman aligns with their progressive values of supporting the Jewish state. It’s clear that AIPAC is making a concerted effort to change the tide and ensure that these anti-Israel politicians face serious primary challenges.

Despite their controversial remarks and actions, Tlaib and Bowman have managed to avoid any serious competition. Tlaib, who was censured by the House of Representatives for her criticism of Israel’s response to the attack, has yet to face a primary challenger. This raises questions about the Democratic Party’s tolerance for anti-Israel sentiment within its ranks.

Bowman, too, has been inconsistent in his stance. While he condemned Hamas for the attack, he also called for an end to Israel’s blockade in Gaza and voted against a resolution condemning Hamas’ war on Israel. These mixed messages and lack of clarity on where he stands are deeply concerning.

The fact that AIPAC, Tlaib’s and Bowman’s offices declined to comment on these developments speaks volumes. It’s clear they don’t want to address the concerns and questions raised by their critics.

In the end, this story highlights the growing influence of anti-Israel sentiment within the Democratic Party. It’s becoming increasingly apparent that certain members of the party are willing to prioritize foreign interests over the longstanding U.S.-Israel alliance. As conservatives, we must remain vigilant and continue to advocate for a strong and unwavering support for our ally, Israel.
