Johnson claimed his administration is the “most diverse in Chicago history,” with 45% Black staff and fewer White hires than previous leaders. But conservatives see this as blatant race-based hiring, not true diversity. Dhillon’s team is demanding data to prove these hires weren’t based solely on skin color. Title VII of the Civil Rights Act bans racial discrimination, even if it’s meant to help certain groups.
The Trump administration’s DOJ has shifted focus to fight ALL discrimination, including reverse racism.
