Don Lemon: I'd Fix America Overnight, Proving Liberal Disconnect

Just when you thought the liberal media couldn’t get any more arrogant, Don Lemon pops up to remind America what happens when you give a CNN host a microphone and too much free time. Lemon, whose claim to fame is lecturing everyday Americans from his Manhattan studio, now imagines himself running the country. Apparently, he thinks the presidency is so simple that he could fix America’s biggest problems “in no time flat.” This is not satire—this is the problem with today’s left.

Liberal elites love to pretend running a country is as easy as writing angry tweets or hosting a talk show. They look at hard-working Americans, shrug off our real, daily struggles, and act like only “their kind” can solve everything—just snap their fingers, and it’s all done. Don Lemon even compared himself to Barack Obama, as if every smooth-talking, out-of-touch commentator is just one campaign away from changing the world. It’s bad enough to watch politicians pretend they know what’s best for us. Now we’ve got washed-up anchors jumping onto the fantasy.

It’s always the same song and dance with these folks. They look at complex issues—crime, the border, inflation—and scoff that it’s just a matter of having the “right” Hollywood-approved person in charge. They act like America’s challenges are a light switch, waiting for some left-wing hero to come flip it on. But if the problems were that easy to fix, why didn’t President Biden or any of his crew do it already? Maybe because empty promises and self-importance don’t pay the bills or lower gas prices.

This smug attitude isn’t just clueless—it’s dangerous. Liberals like Don Lemon actually believe their air of self-righteousness is a substitute for real-world solutions. They think real America is just background noise for their next TV hit or cocktail party. The idea that a failed journalist could do a better job than President Trump—or almost anyone who’s ever actually led something outside a newsroom—isn’t just laughable, it’s insulting to those who understand what true leadership means.

If Don Lemon believes running America is as easy as scoring an invite to the latest Manhattan gala, maybe he’d do us all a favor and stick to cable TV. The last thing this country needs is another celebrity with a god complex promising “lickety-split” fixes from an ivory tower. Maybe that’s why Americans keep voting against the elitist experts and picking real leaders instead. Is it any wonder?
