Author Douglas Murray, a true champion of common sense and reason, has delivered a devastating blow to the absurd notion of reparations. Murray, speaking on “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” eloquently dismantled the left’s pathetic attempt to push for reparations for slavery, a dark chapter of history that ended over a century ago.
Murray boldly called for fairness, reminding everyone that the consequences of history are complex and far-reaching. If we were to seriously consider reparations, we must also examine all the countries that engaged in the slave trade, not just the United States. It’s only fair, isn’t it? But oh, how convenient it is for these leftists to selectively ignore the role of other nations.
But Murray doesn’t stop there. He fearlessly points out that slavery is not a relic of the past but an ongoing practice in many parts of Africa. Yes, folks, you heard that right. While the left is busy clamoring for reparations in Western countries, real slaves are suffering in Africa today. But do you hear the same fervor for justice from these so-called social justice warriors? Of course not. It’s astonishing how they conveniently turn a blind eye to the present-day atrocities.

And let’s not forget that Murray shines a light on a shocking fact – there are more slaves in the world now than at the height of the transatlantic slave trade. Yet the left remains fixated on their grievances of the past, ignoring the pressing need to combat modern-day slavery. It’s clear they care more about virtue signaling and grumbling about their perceived victimhood than taking real action to address global problems.
Murray uncovers another uncomfortable truth: the incessant attack on countries like the UK, America, and France, the most desired destinations for migrants. These nations are unfairly demonized while other parts of the world escape scrutiny. But why are these countries so desired, you ask? It’s not because of racism, as the left would have you believe. No, it’s because they are simply better. They strive to combat racism and recognize it for the sin it is. Can the same be said for countries in Africa, the Middle East, or even China? Absolutely not!
It’s high time we stopped indulging in this self-flagellating, guilt-ridden nonsense and recognized the truth. The left’s relentless quest for reparations is nothing more than a tiresome exercise in grievance competition. The majority of us are fed up with it. Let’s focus on the real issues of the present, like eradicating modern slavery and improving the lives of people across the globe. That’s what true virtue looks like.
