This isn’t just anecdotal; the Secretary of Agriculture, Brooke Rollins, has confirmed the good news. Since the Department launched its initiative to lower egg prices, the average cost for a dozen eggs has plummeted by $1.85. While there is a chance of a seasonal bump in prices as Easter approaches, this decline is certainly a start in the right direction.
Statistics substantiate that this swoon in egg prices isn’t some fleeting fluke. Markets are reacting positively to Rollins’ strategies, with recent data reflecting a drop of more than 11% from previous highs. The average price is now sitting at $6.08 per dozen, a delightfully lower figure than the $6.80 mark from when Trump assumed office.
