Elissa Slotkin is at it again, folks. In a bold yet misguided attack, the Democrat senator from Michigan insists on pushing a debunked hit piece against Secretary of War Pete Hegseth. The story she’s clinging to, which was riddled with anonymous sources, fell apart after other outlets exposed it for what it really is: a work of fiction. But why let truth get in the way of a good political witch hunt, right?
Slotkin’s obsession with taking down anyone tied to President Trump knows no bounds. She’s using this flimsy tale to declare Hegseth should be ousted. Yet, conveniently, she ignores when Democrats committed far more egregious acts under their watch. Remember the chaotic drone strikes of the Obama era? Not a peep from Slotkin then. Hypocrisy at its finest!

Despite being proven false, Slotkin continues to parrot the debunked story, demanding Hegseth release footage and publicly account for a strike. This noise is simply a distraction from slamming Trump’s administration. The president himself refuted any need for a second strike—insinuating Slotkin’s so-called facts are nothing but a never-ending vendetta against a president she cannot stand.
And what about true leadership? Slotkin could learn a thing or two about accountability, especially after her own destructive rhetoric. Just last week, military members faced the very real threat of terror, with one tragic death. Yet, Slotkin remains silent on her own responsibility. Instead, she’s more interested in spreading false narratives than supporting the men and women who put their lives on the line.
So, let’s call Slotkin’s latest move what it is: a desperate attempt to cling to any shred that can tarnish Trump’s team. It’s a tired act, one fueled by personal vendettas over truth and genuine leadership. One has to wonder—where was her outrage when the previous administration engaged in dubious military strategies? Or does accountability only apply when it suits her political agenda?
