Elizabeth Warren is at it again, blaming former President Donald Trump for a problem entirely out of his control. The senator from Massachusetts is raging because YouTube TV and Disney couldn’t reach an agreement, leaving viewers without ESPN and ABC’s election coverage. Her wrath is aimed straight at Trump, as if he were a king who should dictate the inner workings of private companies. How logical is that?
For years, Democrats have cried “no kings” when it comes to Trump, accusing him of wanting to be a monarch. Yet, now Elizabeth Warren seems to wish for that very scenario, expecting him to rule over corporate America to satiate her demands. Warren appears to be fully entrenched in this fantasy world where Trump has limitless powers over independent businesses.
This ESPN and YouTubeTV dispute is insane. Sports leagues need to rethink how they license. I have

People missed Monday Night Football, and it’s unfortunate, no doubt, but to turn this into a diatribe against Trump is sheer lunacy. She’s barking at the wrong tree entirely. This was a business skirmish between two mega-corporations, and anyone with common sense knows the presidency isn’t a magic wand for disputes like these. But maybe Warren’s too enraptured by anti-Trump rhetoric to see the forest for the trees.
Warren’s expectations for Trump to meddle in business show how little she respects the free market. Does she think American citizens need a royal decree to watch a football game? Such a mindset seems rooted in an adolescent understanding of economics, or worse, an agenda that smacks of socialism under the guise of advocacy.
One can’t help but wonder, does Elizabeth Warren actually wish for a king – but only if he’s doing what she thinks is right? What’s next, demanding he jump-start Hulu? Her complaints have transcended logic and landed in the realm of political theater. The American people deserve better than these wild delusions. Real freedom means understanding that government isn’t the babysitter of corporate negotiations.
