The Racial Equity Officer of College Park, Maryland, Kayla Aliese Carter, is in hot water after allegedly making controversial social media posts that seem to defend violence and promote black liberation. The city hired her in 2022 to bring so-called “racial equity” to different departments, but it looks like her idea of equity might involve burning things down. Seriously, who in their right mind thinks violence is the answer?
According to Fox News, Carter’s online musings allegedly include some pretty extreme stuff, like questioning why Black people have to justify their violence and expressing a desire for society to collapse so her own ideology can take over. Yikes. Sounds like someone’s been watching too many dystopian movies and drinking the radical left Kool-Aid.

It’s concerning that someone in a position of authority in College Park is seemingly okay with violent rhetoric and distrusting an entire group of people based on their skin color. This kind of divisive and dangerous mindset has no place in public service. The fact that her Twitter account is private now is just the cherry on top – hiding behind privacy settings while spreading such inflammatory ideas is cowardly.
City Manager Kenny Young was quick to distance the city from Carter’s views, stating that her personal opinions don’t align with College Park’s values. It’s good to see some pushback against the radical agenda that Carter seems to be pushing. Taxpayer dollars should not be funding someone who wants to tear down society just to push their own ideology.
Let’s hope that College Park takes swift and appropriate action in response to this investigation. We need leaders who promote unity, not division. Maybe it’s time for Carter to find a new line of work that doesn’t involve advocating for societal collapse. Just a thought.
