In yet another act of barbarism, a terrorist struck a synagogue in Manchester, UK. Just as worshippers gathered to observe the sacred day of Yom Kippur, they were confronted with horror instead of peace. A car was used as a weapon, plowing into innocent people outside the house of worship. This attack took the lives of two individuals and injured four more, casting a dark shadow over what should have been a day of reflection and atonement.
The immediate response by the police is commendable, but the question that remains is why this was allowed to happen in the first place. Britain, once a stronghold of freedom and safety, seems to have slipped into turmoil. Were the authorities caught flat-footed? Did the pervasive political correctness that’s infecting Europe prevent them from taking necessary preventive actions? These are the questions that haunt every conscious observer as antisemitic acts like this continue to rise.

The attacker was taken down by police right after the rampage, highlighting the failure of Britain’s current system to prevent these attacks rather than just respond to them. And now, the predictable narrative battle begins. Misguided voices will push to paint this as an isolated incident, while ignoring the bigger picture—ignoring the fact that such tragedies are becoming all too common in a Europe losing its grip on law and order.
Let’s face it: Europe’s passive stance on radicalism is costing lives. The continent’s reluctant acknowledgment of the growing antisemitism problem is serving up Jews on a silver platter to those who despise them. Despite the obvious danger signals, the liberal mindset abroad seems more focused on diversity charades than actually protecting its citizens. The left’s obsession with globalism and open-door policies is weakening the very fabric of Western civilization.
People are waking up. Jews in the UK and across Europe are seeing the writing on the wall and choosing to leave rather than remain under siege. Who can blame them? The question for Western leaders, though, is clear: When will they start recognizing the threat that’s staring them in the face, instead of hiding behind the cloak of denial? Political correctness is the enemy here, not the solution. Will they wait until it’s too late to defend their way of life?
