If it weren't for the brave whistleblowers who came forward, the former Delaware congressman might have walked away with no consequences.
Jordan noted the importance of addressing the individuals who were present during a crucial meeting, which took place on October 7, 2022. Some of those who were present included David Weiss, the US Attorney for Delaware, as well as Gary Shapley, a whistleblower. According to Shapley, the meeting was referred to as a red line meeting, which indicates its significance in the investigation.
It is troubling to see that the US Attorney who was tasked with investigating Hunter Biden's crimes claimed that he would not be the deciding factor in the case. This suggests that an attempt was made to shift the investigation away from the districts where the prosecutors who had previously given to the two politicians were reluctant to bring charges. Moreover, according to Shapley, the IRS team was intentionally obstructed from following up on leads that could implicate the President.
Hunter Biden's lawyers have demanded that Gary Shapley be prosecuted for revealing the corruption within the former congressman's office. It is outrageous that they would try to suppress a whistleblower who is only interested in exposing the truth.
The constant pursuit by Jordan and other Republicans has become a major issue for the administration of President Biden and Justice Department official Merrick Garland. Until now, Democrats have maintained that Weiss was following the rules and independent of the investigation. However, now, they have to change their narrative.
The appointment of Weiss as a special counsel by Garland only added to the suspicions surrounding the investigation of Hunter Biden. He now has the power to look into other possible crimes.
