Dr. Anthony Fauci, the ex-director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and President Biden’s primary medical consultant, has recently defended Chinese officials who were accused of obstructing access to scientists who were investigating the source of COVID-19. According to Fauci, the blame for the lack of transparency regarding the virus’s origin does not lie with the Chinese Communist Party but rather with the individuals who have criticized China.

According to Fauci, if there were greater transparency, it would become evident that the virus emerged from natural transmission rather than a lab leak in Wuhan. He believes that the issue is that the Chinese have been subjected to severe criticism, causing their authorities to act suspiciously, even when they have nothing to hide. Fauci has stated, “The problem is that they’ve attacked the Chinese so badly. The Chinese authorities act suspicious, even when they have nothing to hide.”
It appears that Fauci is attempting to shield China from responsibility for the pandemic, disregarding the World Health Organization’s (WHO) call for China to grant access and information for a comprehensive investigation into the virus’s origins. Additionally, it is troubling that Fauci has been swift to reject the prospect of a lab leak in Wuhan, even though this hypothesis has not been thoroughly examined.

Fauci has claimed that “the lab leak theory was always a viable explanation” and that “anybody who even knows a little bit about virology will tell you that it would be molecularly impossible to turn [those viruses] into this virus,” a highly dubious assertion given the absence of evidence to back it up.
It is evident that Fauci aims to shield China from responsibility for the pandemic, and his close association with the Biden administration intensifies this concern.
