In an alarming turn of events, two young men from suburban Detroit have found themselves in a heap of trouble for allegedly plotting a terror attack inspired by ISIS. This chilling news surfaced just in time for Halloween, and it certainly gave everyone a reason to think twice about their festive plans. Thankfully, the FBI was on the case and successfully foiled what could have been a catastrophic event.
The investigation into this disturbing plot began several months ago. Agents utilized surveillance from various cameras and monitored encrypted chats to keep a close eye on the suspects. Finally, these plans culminated in a dramatic federal court appearance for the two men, who must now face the music for their intentions. According to authorities, they had been discussing an attack that was supposed to happen on Halloween night, targeting local LGBTQ bars or clubs. A rather unsettling code word that emerged during this investigation was “pumpkin,” which the suspects allegedly used when referring to their horrific scheme.

As a result, both men now face up to 15 years in prison, with a detention hearing set to further navigate this disturbing case.
