Runaway Texas Democrats just got a wake-up call. FBI Director Kash Patel agreed to help Senator John Cornyn track down the cowardly lawmakers who abandoned their jobs. These Democrats fled the state like criminals rather than do what voters elected them to do.
The whole mess started when Republicans tried to redraw congressional maps before the 2026 elections. This could give the GOP up to five more House seats, which would strengthen their tiny three-seat majority. Instead of staying to debate like adults, 55 Democrats ran away to hide in other states.
Governor Greg Abbott ordered these deserters arrested the moment they return to Texas. He even asked the state Supreme Court to kick Gene Wu out of office for abandoning his duties. Wu is the chairman of the Texas House Democratic Caucus and helped organize this embarrassing stunt.
Some of these runaway Democrats ended up in Boston, crying about voting rights to anyone who would listen. They met with the Democrat governor there and held rallies comparing America to a dictatorship. This is rich coming from politicians who refuse to show up for work when they don’t get their way.
The Democrats claim this redistricting is somehow illegal or unfair. But redistricting happens every decade after the census, and the party in power gets to draw the maps. That’s how the system works, and Democrats do the exact same thing in states they control.
What makes this even more pathetic is that big-money Democrat donors paid for private jets to fly these lawmakers out of state. So much for being the party of working people. They’re using millionaire money to avoid doing their jobs while Texas taxpayers foot the bill.
President Trump already said the FBI might need to get involved, and now it’s happening. These Democrats thought they could hide in other states forever, but federal law enforcement doesn’t play games. Their little vacation from democracy is about to end.
This whole circus shows how desperate Democrats have become. When they can’t win through normal politics, they run away like spoiled children. Thank goodness we have leaders like Senator Cornyn and Governor Abbott who won’t let these cowards hold Texas hostage.
