California’s king of big promises, Gavin Newsom, just got caught trying to defend another embarrassing, expensive mess — a so-called “butterfly bridge” that’s still unfinished after costing taxpayers a staggering $114 million. Yes, you read that right. Over a hundred million bucks gone, and what do Californians have to show for it? An empty concrete monument to liberal incompetence.
Rather than owning up to the disaster happening right under his nose, Newsom tried to change the subject. He claimed that states like Florida and Texas supposedly struggle with the same problems. That’s laughable. Floridians and Texans get real results, not photo ops of bridges going nowhere. While governors like Ron DeSantis and Greg Abbott actually deliver for their people, Newsom spends Golden State dollars like Monopoly money, then blames everyone else when it all goes south.
