The liberal darling and outgoing California governor, Gavin Newsom, just can’t seem to stay out of the limelight. He’s over in Davos, rubbing elbows with the global elite, dreaming of a 2028 run for the White House—as if his disastrous management of California isn’t enough to sink his ship before it even sets sail. While he’s busy berating American values abroad and throwing a tantrum about Donald Trump, others are getting straight to the point about his incompetence.
Enter Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, a man who doesn’t need to defend himself from Newsom’s pitiful insults. Why? Because he knows what most of America already sees: Newsom is a walking American Psycho parody with the economic IQ of a middle schooler. When California’s burning, its crime soaring, and its budget sinking under a $45 billion deficit, Newsom is in Switzerland, further exposing his out-of-touch elite mentality.

Imagine blaming everyone else for your problems while holidaying with a crew of billionaire buddies, all while California’s economy crumbles thanks to your policies. Bessent didn’t hold back, highlighting Newsom’s smugness and ignorance for all to see. The Democrats in California are so desperate to cover up the deficit that they’re considering taxing people who aren’t even living in the state anymore. How’s that for fiscal genius?
To add to the spectacle, Newsom even dared to tell Europe to stand up against Trump. This globalist cheerleader thinks he knows better than everyone else, even as his own state is looking to claw back the wealth it hemorrhaged under his watch. California was once the Golden State, but under Newsom, it’s become a cautionary tale of failed liberal ambition.
Newsom’s time is ending in California, but if he thinks he can lead the whole country with this track record, he’s living in a fantasy. The real America needs leaders who will protect our values, not fly to Europe to make excuses for their failures at home. Why should we let this man with a history of failures dictate our future?
