Governor Gavin Newsom, the blundering liberal leader of California, should have thought twice before tossing stones from his glass mansion. This past weekend, he attacked President Donald Trump for his Asia trip, blaming him for the loss of SNAP benefits during a government shutdown. Funny how Newsom conveniently forgets that Democrats have had their hands in creating this mess. He openly criticizes Trump’s international efforts while glossing over his own ignoble performance overseas.
Newsom’s notable trip to China in 2023 was as disastrous as his tenure in California. The governor, attempting to play basketball with a group of young students in Beijing, demonstrated a severe lack of coordination, crashing into a child—that’s the extent of Newsom’s diplomacy in action. It’s laughable and sad that he attempts to act as a champion of children’s well-being, yet can’t avoid plowing into them on a simple dribble. This embarrassing episode is just a page from the liberal playbook, where style overrules substance every time.

The audacity of Newsom to point fingers at Trump while leaving a track record of destruction in California is mind-boggling. San Francisco, once a crown jewel, now has apps dedicated to mapping human feces on the streets, thanks to its inept leadership. His response to natural disasters, like the wildfires near Los Angeles, was equally staggering in incompetence. When confronted by victims, did he offer aid or empathy? No, he dodged responsibility with lies about feigned communication with President Biden.
Newsom’s hypocrisy knows no bounds. He lectures on global politics and humanitarianism while ignoring the disasters on his doorstep. Californians continue to suffer under policies that prioritize virtue signaling over practical solutions. With every criticism he lobs at conservatives or Trump, he exposes his own failures and lack of self-awareness. It’s a common thread with liberal elites who believe rules are for everyone but themselves.
Will this bumbling governor ever get his act together? Doubtful. For now, we can watch as he stumbles through his own political circus, providing more comedic relief than any Hollywood blockbuster. Maybe, just maybe, he’ll learn that running a state—or playing basketball—requires more than empty postures and lofty rhetoric.
