President Joe Biden is catching some heat from his fellow Republicans for his decision to allow Ukraine to strike certain targets on Russian soil using American weapons. This move has stirred up quite the commotion among the conservatives on the Hill.
The big shots like House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner and House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mike Rogers are calling Biden’s authorization a half-baked decision. They are throwing shade at the President for not giving the green light to Ukraine sooner, before Russia’s recent antics in Kharkiv.

Pro-Ukraine Republicans Call Biden Allowing Ukraine to Hit Russia with U.S. Weapons a Half Measure https://t.co/tkjYwvS743 via @BreitbartNews

The Republicans are not holding back, stating that the Biden administration’s slow approach has left Ukraine vulnerable and has pretty much let Russia off the hook. By leaking that the new policy only applies to specific U.S.-supplied weapons in a limited area within Russia, the administration has, in their opinion, given away the game plan to the Russians. These GOP fellas are pushing for a more aggressive stance, wanting Ukraine to be able to target any military sites in Russia, not just the ones close to Kharkiv.
And let’s not forget about Putin, who’s not too happy about this whole situation. He’s waving around warnings of “major consequences” for any NATO countries involved in letting Ukraine use their fancy American weapons.
To top it all off, Biden even had Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky promising never to fire those American-provided weapons into Russia. It’s all a big mess, and the conservatives are not impressed with the slow and steady approach to dealing with Russia’s aggression.
This political rollercoaster has got everyone on edge, and it seems like the drama between Ukraine, Russia, and the U.S. is far from over. Grab your popcorn, folks, because this showdown is far from reaching a resolution anytime soon.
