In a surprising turn of events, we have a Republican governor who wants nothing to do with the legendary Donald J. Trump. New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu has come out swinging against the former president, suggesting that nominating him for the GOP nomination would be like “handing” the presidency to Kamala Harris. Ouch, talk about a low blow.

During an appearance on MSNBC, Sununu didn’t hold back his thoughts on Trump. He boldly stated that Trump “is not about the future of this country.” You hear that, folks? According to Sununu, Trump is living in the past, like a dinosaur stuck in the tar pits.
But wait, there’s more! Sununu went on to accuse Trump of trying to save himself instead of saving the country. He insisted that Republicans need a fresh face with new ideas, not someone who is constantly looking backward. It’s as if Sununu is saying, “Sorry, Donald, but your time in the spotlight is over.”
And just in case you were wondering about the future, Sununu wants you to know that Trump has no chance of winning anything above 31% of Independents. That’s right, he’s calling it a mathematical impossibility. According to Sununu’s crystal ball, Republicans as a whole will get crushed if they dare to support Trump. Is he onto something, or is this just wishful thinking?
Now, here’s an interesting twist. Even though Sununu is throwing shade at Trump left and right, apparently there’s a recent poll that puts Trump two points ahead of President Joe Biden. Wait, what? How does that make sense? It seems like the same poll that supports Sununu’s claim that Trump can’t win is also contradicting itself. Maybe we should take these polls with a grain of salt or a whole shaker, for that matter.
All in all, it’s clear that Gov. Chris Sununu has a bone to pick with Donald Trump. He believes that Trump is yesterday’s news and that the future of the Republican Party lies with fresh faces and new ideas. Whether or not Sununu’s predictions will come true remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure – the battle for the GOP nomination is far from over.
