Disgruntled GOP Senators Throw Shade at House Republicans for Caving to Democrats on Border Security
Well, well, well, the drama in Washington continues to heat up as Senate Republican bigwigs are pointing fingers and clearing their throats to let House Republicans know they think they’re being a little too eager to roll over for the Democrats. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Senate Minority Whip John Thune, and Sen. John Cornyn aren’t too pleased with the idea of House Republicans just accepting any ol’ deal on border security that Senate GOP negotiators cook up with the Senate Democrats and the White House. They’re basically saying, “Hey, House Republicans, don’t be so quick to surrender to the Dems!”
Thune and Cornyn are talking about how House Republicans should take what they can get on border security, even if it’s not exactly what the doctor ordered. But hold on a minute, folks. They’re missing the point that a wishy-washy, half-hearted solution isn’t going to cut it when it comes to fixing the border crisis. President Joe Biden already has the tools to start fixing things up, and he should darn well use them. Let’s not forget that President Donald Trump handled a similar crisis in 2019 without any Congress backing. If Trump could do it, then Biden can too! He just needs a little push in the right direction.
And it seems like the push is coming. Dr. Steve Federico from Denver Health popped up on The Ingraham Angle, begging for a lifeline for Colorado’s hospital system, which is drowning in debt thanks to Biden’s border mess. The poor guy is pleading for policymakers to cough up the dough to support healthcare providers that are giving care to the never-ending stream of migrants flooding the emergency rooms and clinics. Can you believe it? About 8,000 illegal immigrants swamped Denver hospitals with around 20,000 visits last year, causing a $22 million deficit in the healthcare system. It’s a tough situation, and someone’s got to do something about it before the whole place goes belly up.
The Fox News crew even had a chat with Gov. Jared Polis, and he didn’t hold back, saying it’s no surprise that hospitals are having to bankroll migrants’ medical bills without any proper border security and a busted immigration system. He hit the nail on the head. If we don’t have a rock-solid border, then hospitals all over the country are going to take a financial beating trying to treat folks who aren’t even insured.
But wait, there’s more! Blue states like Colorado are starting to feel the burn of Biden’s border chaos, and it’s clear as crystal that the Democrats are more interested in sending out bailout checks than actually fixing the problem. But not so fast, Senate Republicans seem to be cozying up to the Democrats, leaving the House Republicans out in the cold. It’s like a real-life soap opera in the Capitol, folks!
