Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson of Louisiana did not hold back when he chatted with President Joe Biden about the border crisis. In fact, he straight up told the president, “Do your job.” That’s right, he didn’t sugarcoat it or beat around the bush. He went right for the jugular and called out Biden for the mess at the border.
On “The Ingraham Angle” on Fox News, Johnson didn’t mince words when talking about the Democrats’ reluctance to visit the southern border themselves. He made it clear that he’s not caving to any pressure from the other side. No sir, nobody’s strong-arming him! He even presented Biden with 64 instances where his administration’s actions led directly to the border crisis. Take that, Biden!

And get this, Johnson laid down the law about how to fix the problem. He said no new laws are needed, the president just needs to start enforcing the ones we already have. It’s that simple, folks! He even read Biden the legal authority he could take over the phone. I mean, Johnson is not messing around here.
Now, as for this supposed bill floating around the Senate with talk of green cards and amnesty for illegals, Johnson’s not buying it until he sees the actual text. Can you blame him? He’s not one to just jump on board without knowing all the details. Smart move, Johnson, smart move.
And let’s not forget about HR 2, introduced by Republican Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart. Johnson’s been singing its praises, saying it has some real game-changing provisions to tackle the border crisis head-on. It’s all about reforming asylum and the broken parole process, restoring the “Remain in Mexico” policy, and ending catch-and-release. Johnson’s not just about talk, he’s about action.
But wait, there’s more. The president seemingly admitted there’s a problem at the border, but hey, he’s not taking the blame for creating the mess. Nope, he’s pointing fingers at the Republicans. Classic move, Biden. Classic move.
So, the bottom line is this: Johnson ain’t backing down, Biden needs to step up and do his job, and the border crisis needs fixing pronto. It’s as simple as that.
