GOP Unified for Trump, RNC to Echo America First Agenda

The Washington Examiner’s top brass, Chris Irvine and Sarah Bedford, seem to be pondering over basic common sense ahead of the Republican National Convention. They’re scratching their heads over what a successful Republican National Convention looks like for Donald Trump, as if the former president hasn’t already cracked the code twice before. Spoiler alert: it’s about putting America First, again.

The question on whether it behooves Trump not to attack Biden on his own platform is laughable. Why wouldn’t Trump underscore the glaring failures of Biden’s administration? With inflation ballooning, borders about as secure as a screen door on a submarine, and international embarrassment post-Afghanistan, Biden’s record speaks louder than any attack ad. Trump would be doing the nation a disservice by not addressing the disaster.

Then there’s the speculation on whether Trump’s running mate should transform from an “attack dog” to a defensive shield. Those following Trump know he doesn’t need a bodyguard; his policies and his record speak for themselves. The running mate will end up amplifying the message, not hiding it. Just like before, the mission would be to expose the radical left’s agenda and safeguard American values.

And let’s all laugh together at the melodramatic speculation of division at the convention. The GOP is united in one mission: to unfurl the flag of common sense governing. Any squabbles would only highlight the vibrancy and democratic spirit within the party, unlike the chorus-line conformity of the left.

So, for those joining the Washington Examiner’s fret-fest: relax. A successful RNC for Trump is less about walking on eggshells and more about marching with megaphones. America First, cringe-free zones, and unapologetic patriotism—
