House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan and Subcommittee Chairman Barry Loudermilk are not messing around when it comes to getting to the bottom of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’s alleged coordination with the January 6 Select Committee. These GOP powerhouses have initiated an inquiry that is sure to send shockwaves through the political landscape.

What is the inquiry all about, you may ask? Well, it centers around the Committee’s concerns about “politically motivated prosecutions” and the suspicious coordination between Willis’s office and the January 6 Select Committee. It’s no wonder the GOP is concerned about due process and the integrity of the investigations.
In a scathing letter, Jordan stated that the January 6 Select Committee has a “troubling track record” of procedural abuses and due process violations. He accuses the Committee of cherry-picking evidence, ignoring exculpatory evidence, and even fabricating and releasing doctored evidence. Talk about shady business!
It’s no wonder that Loudermilk also wants answers. In his own letter, he highlights the discovery of a letter from Willis to Representative Bennie Thompson, where she requests access to congressional records. And get this, according to public reporting, the Select Committee actually shared key evidence with Willis’s office. That’s right, the very evidence that allegedly implicates former President Trump and his advisors. This whole situation reeks of political maneuvering.
The House Judiciary Committee’s inquiry is shining a spotlight on the impartiality, or lack thereof, of Willis’s office and the potential influence of partisan politics. They are now demanding a comprehensive list of communications and documents exchanged between Willis’s office and the January 6 Select Committee. My, oh my, things are about to get interesting.
It’s clear that the January 6 Select Committee was nothing more than a politically charged witch hunt. Republicans have been crying foul since its inception, arguing about its biased composition and findings. And now, with this new inquiry, it’s exposing the politically charged nature of the investigations and the role of state and local officials in these prosecutions.
It’s time to set the record straight and bring transparency to the table. The American people deserve to know the truth, and it’s about time someone had the guts to challenge the corruption and political gamesmanship that seems to be running rampant. Kudos to Jordan and Loudermilk for their diligent efforts to expose the truth and uphold the principles of justice and due process.
