You can never trust Hamas to be honest, declares Darin Gaub on Newsmax Talk Show. The retired U.S. Army Lt. Colonel laid out why relying on terrorist groups is a dangerous mistake during Friday’s episode of “Newsline.” Gaub, who’s served in combat, knows firsthand how these radicals break promises and use deception to hurt innocent people. “Hamas lies with every breath,” he warned.
Gaub told Victoria Coates, a former senior Trump advisor, that negotiating with Hamas is like shaking hands with a snake wearing gloves. He argued that no amount of food or aid changes their goal: destroying Israel and Jews. “They’ll pocket our gifts and keep plotting attacks,” Gaub said. Weak Western leaders keep falling for this cycle of concessions, he blasted.
Coates fired back that Gaza can’t be rebuilt without demanding Hamas disarms first. “We’re fools if we let them run schools and hospitals again,” she said, pointing to their history of using civilians as shields. Rebuilding Gaza should help the people, not terrorists, she stressed. Past administrations failed by ignoring this basic truth.
The conflict isn’t just about Israel—it’s America’s fight too. Radical groups like Hamas and Iranian proxies threaten our security when we don’t stand up to them. “Jihadists see weakness and attack,” Gaub said. Both agreed Israel’s bold actions set a model for beating global terrorism.
Gaub called out Washington politicians who ‘talk tough’ but do nothing. “Send troops if needed, but once we start, back them 100%—no half-measures,” he demanded. Coates added that Trump’s policies like the Abraham Accords proved strength works better than endless talking. “Flying the flag in Tel Aviv means more than any UN speech,” she said.
Hostage families shouldn’t suffer more delays either. Gaub praised Israel’s resolve but warned against hesitating. “A second wasted means more hostages die,” he said. Coates called it a moral duty to protect Americans abroad—something past leaders avoided.
The duo envisioned a future Gaza free from Hamas after victory. Coates suggested creating buffer zones to keep terrorists out. “We don’t rebuild terrorists’ playgrounds,” she declared. Gaub blasted critics who care more about ‘global opinion’ than national survival.
“Choose sides now,” Gaub urged viewers. “Stand with freedom or kneel to killers.” Both urged Americans to demand leaders who fight for victory, not talks that embolden terrorists. “Our lives depend on choosing boldness over betrayal,” Coates concluded.
