A brave Kentucky woman did the right thing and got punished for it. Melissa Moorman worked at the DMV and saw her coworkers selling driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants. She reported the crime and got fired.
The scheme was massive and dangerous. These corrupt government workers sold over 1,500 fake licenses for $200 each. They did this four to five times every single day for two whole years.
Think about how wrong this is. Illegal immigrants who can’t even speak English got licenses without taking any tests. They never proved they could drive safely on our roads with our families.
Moorman saw the corruption and told her boss right away. She refused to join the criminal scheme when they asked her to participate. This patriotic American chose to protect her community instead of making dirty money.
