New York Governor Kathy Hochul is at it again – spending taxpayer dollars like they grow on trees and this time, she’s proposing to drop a whopping $2.4 billion on migrants in her latest budget proposal. Can you believe it? With New York already facing sky-high rent and home prices, Hochul is throwing money at a so-called plan to address the ongoing migrant crisis. But let’s be real here – her plan is more like a band-aid on a broken dam.

This Democrat is suggesting an additional $2.4 billion for migrant care, on top of the $1.9 billion the state already forked over in 2023. That’s right, folks, your hard-earned money is going straight into the pockets of illegal border crossers. And get this – a big chunk of this cash is earmarked for New York City, to the tune of a whopping $1.1 billion. That’s right, the Big Apple is shelling out big bucks for those who have no business being here in the first place.
And get this – while New York City already boasts the highest rent prices in the country, according to a Zumper report, Governor Hochul is proposing to slap even more taxes on things like vacation rentals and hotel stays. So let’s get this straight – New Yorkers are already struggling to pay their rent, and Hochul’s solution is to make it even harder for them to find affordable housing? It’s madness, folks!
But hold on, it gets even better. Commentator Howie Carr put together a laundry list of freebies that the state is showering upon illegals. And when we say freebies, we mean everything from housing and food to clothing, rent, and even free Ipads and cell phones. The list goes on and on, with costs piling up for things like diapers, baby supplies, car seats, and even legal services. It’s like Christmas morning for those who broke the law to come here, all thanks to Governor Hochul’s open wallet policy.
But here’s the kicker – while all this taxpayer money is flowing out the door, Governor Hochul has a serious transparency problem. No one seems to know where all this cash is really going. Recently, the Boston Herald had the guts to demand a full accounting of where every single penny is ending up, and surprise, surprise, Hochul’s keeping her lips sealed tighter than a pickle jar.
So there you have it, folks – another day, another liberal spending spree, courtesy of your hard-earned tax dollars. Governor Kathy Hochul may have big plans for New York, but it’s the taxpayers who are getting the short end of the stick. Keep your wallets close, because in Hochul’s New York, the money just keeps on flowing – straight out of your pocket and into the hands of those who have no business getting a free ride.
