It seems as though the Biden crime family may have once again gotten away with breaking the law. According to reports, Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, has reached a sweetheart plea deal with federal prosecutors that will keep him out of jail for his crimes. Despite reportedly owing more than $1.2 million in unpaid taxes over two years, Hunter Biden will only face two misdemeanor tax charges and a gun charge, for which he will be entered into a “diversion” program and placed on probation.

This deal reeks of political favoritism and further proves that the elite in this country operate above the law. While the average American would likely face jail time for willfully failing to pay their taxes, Hunter Biden is being let off the hook with a slap on the wrist. It’s also worth noting that the president’s own son apparently lied on a federal background check form in order to illegally purchase a gun that was subsequently thrown in the trash by his then-girlfriend.

Democrats loudly proclaim their passionate commitment to “gun safety” & “tax fairness.” After an investigation that (inexplicably) dragged on for years, the Biden DOJ has handed a no-jail deal to a repeat tax cheat who also lied on a gun purchase form—whose last name is Biden.

This plea deal highlights the hypocrisy of the Biden administration, which claims to be tough on crime and calls for higher taxes and more restrictive firearm laws, despite their own family members flouting the law. It’s also suspect that this deal was reached now, as Hunter Biden’s sketchy business dealings continue to draw scrutiny. Did the Justice Department time this plea deal to minimize the political fallout for the president?
Regardless of the specifics, it’s crystal clear that the Biden family is not above the law and should be held accountable for their actions. The American people deserve equal justice under the law, not special treatment for the political elite.
