Federal authorities have taken dangerous criminals off our streets. ICE arrested over 1,300 illegal aliens in Houston last month. These weren’t innocent people – they were violent felons and predators. Our communities are safer because of this operation.
Among those arrested were 32 child sex offenders. Nine had homicide convictions. Sixteen were cartel or gang members. One was even an airplane hijacker. These are exactly the people we must remove from our country.
Take Adermis Wilson-Gonzalez, a Cuban national convicted of hijacking a plane. Or Arnulfo Olivares Cervantes, a Mexican national with attempted murder convictions. Then there’s Luis Pablo Vasquez-Estolano – deported six times but back committing crimes again. These men showed total disregard for American lives and laws.
This isn’t the first major sweep. ICE arrested 422 criminals in Houston in May. They got 646 more in March. Just weeks ago, they deported 142 criminals to Mexico. This shows real commitment to protecting Texans.
Some protesters gathered in Houston and San Antonio. They tried to stop ICE from doing its job. But Governor Abbott stood strong. He supported our president and backed law enforcement. Patriots know we must enforce immigration laws.
President Trump reversed course on raids. He knows industries that hire illegals create “safe spaces” for criminals. Now ICE will hunt criminals everywhere – farms, hotels, restaurants. No more hiding places for those breaking our laws.
Houston police reports show most ICE calls come from traffic stops. That’s how we catch these criminals – through routine police work. When local officers cooperate with ICE, we all win. It keeps violent offenders off our streets.
These operations protect American families. Every child predator arrested means children saved. Every gang member deported means neighborhoods safer. This is what real immigration enforcement looks like – and we need more of it.
